Voditelj uspostavnog istraživačkog projekta Hrvatske zaklade za znanost “Croceania” dr. sc. Ivan Hrstić i suradnik na projektu dr. sc. Josip Mihaljević (Hrvatski institut za povijest) sudjelovali su na međunarodnoj znanstvenoj konferenciji “Centralist Ambitions and Peripheral Realities in the 20th Century: Contested Identities in Yugoslavia”, koja se održala u Pragu 16. svibnja 2023.

Organizatori konferencije bili su Češka akademija znanosti, Filozofski fakultet Karlovog svečilišta u Pragu, Leibniz Institute for East and Southeast European Studies u Regensburgu i Hrvatski institut za povijest.
Dr. sc. Ivan Hrstić održao je predavanje pod naslovom “Development of diasporic identity in a triangle of interrelations between the state of emigration, the state of immigration and the diaspora itself – the case of pre-World War II emigrants from Croatia to Australia and New Zealand until the 1990s”, a dr. sc. Josip Mihaljević izlagao je na temu “Identity of Yugoslav Gastarbeiters in socialism and post-socialism”.
