Prezentacija pod nazivom \u201eHomelessness and social exclusion: the negotiation of public spaces\u201c istra\u017euje kako osobe u besku\u0107ni\u0161tvu koje \u017eive u javnim urbanim prostorima i koriste ih za \u017eivot (u nedostatku vlastitih privatnih prostora) kr\u0161e njihova pravila i konvertiraju ih u vlastite (privatne) sfere za obavljanje raznih aktivnosti vezanih uz posao, slobodno vrijeme i\/ili osobne potrebe poput spavanja\/odmora\/obavljanje higijene. Pripremljena je u sklopu projekta \u201eExploring Homelessness and Pathways to Social Inclusion: A Comparative Study of Contexts and Challenges in Swiss and Croatian Cities\u201c (No. IZHRZO_180631\/1). Projekt je financiran u okviru Hrvatsko-\u0161vicarskoga istra\u017eiva\u010dkog programa Hrvatske zaklade za znanost i \u0160vicarske nacionalne zaklade za znanost putem sredstava \u0160vicarsko-hrvatskog programa suradnje.<\/p>\n

The International Society for Ethnology and Folklore (SIEF) 15th conference \u201cBreaking the rules? Power, Participation, and Transgression was held online at the University of Helsinki, Finland from 19th \u2013 26th June, 2021. Dr Lynette \u0160iki\u0107 Mi\u0107anovi\u0107 and Paula Greiner presented their work in the panel Res08a: Breaking “spatial rules”. Micro-practices of resistance and refusal against dominant forms of territoriality I.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Their paper \u201cHomelessness and social exclusion: the negotiation of public spaces\u201d explores how homeless people who live in or use public urban spaces (in absence of their own private spaces) break its rules and convert it into their (private) spheres for different activities related to work, leisure and\/or personal needs such as sleep\/rest and hygiene. This presentation is part of a larger project entitled: \u201cExploring Homelessness and Pathways to Social Inclusion: A Comparative Study of Contexts and Challenges in Swiss and Croatian Cities\u201d (No. IZHRZO_180631\/1). This work is financed within the Croatian-Swiss Research Program of the Croatian Science Foundation and the Swiss National Science Foundation with funds obtained from the Swiss-Croatian Cooperation Program.\u201d<\/p>\n
